302 new industries registered in eight months
A total of 302 industries have been registered at theDepartment of Industry in the eight months of the current fiscal year.
The industries with domestic as well as foreign investorspropose to provide direct employment to around 20,000 people. Of them 194 areindustries with foreign investment while 108 are run by Nepali investors.
They have a total investment worth Rs. 232.87 billion,which includes Rs. 12 billion in the tourism industry. Other industries arerelated to agriculture, energy, information technology, minerals andservice.
The number of registration of industries has gone up with the country enteringa phase of political stability, thereby giving investors an atmosphere oftrust, says the spokesperson of the Department Durga Prasad Bhusal.
